Edward Spencer and Alice Georgina Matthews - Wedding photograph

The content below is extracted from The Edward Spencer Story which is downloadable in the Resources section.

Edward Spencer was the youngest and least mentioned son of Thomas and Mary.

Born in 1862 he was only eight when his four oldest brothers acquired Cuttabunda

In 1886 together with brother William he took out a homestead lease for a property Narran Plains adjacent to Cuttabunda.

This property was included in the foreclosure against the "Spencer Brothers Pastoral and Homestead Lessees" in 1896. However there is no direct evidence that Edward visited Cuttabunda or Narran Plains.

In 1897 we know Edward was living in Wee Waa with his first wife Mary. Edward married after the death of his first wife. Edward and his second wife Alice lived in Wee Waa for the rest of Edwards Life. He died in 1915.
