Four Thomas and Mary descendants have participated in the Ancestry.com DNA project. This project matches around 2000 DNA markers across the persons entire genetic material.

One of the questions that is being investigated using DNA matches is "Just who were Thomas Spencer and Mary Stark?".

We have not found the answer just yet but we have some promising leads.

So if you want to know was Thomas descended from some titled Spencer family (there are lots of rumors) or was he just a poor Irish labourer as his immigration documents suggest, watch this space.
